We are an organizaton that is dedicated to raising funds for charity. To this end we:

1. Host living history shows and events with our members to educate and entertain.
2. Sell crafts made by our members.
3. Recreate a military encampment of the times.

Part of our philosophy is community, to be active within our community and to work for the betterment of those around us. This reminds us that we are merely one part of a greater whole. Our festivals are all fundraisers for charities or community projects. In doing this we serve something higher than ourselves.

Our Mission
The Northern Horde is an educational 16th century living history encampment. We offer historical weapon shows, whip demos, mock historical fighting as well as a recreation of crafts from the time perios such as cooking, map making, medical practices and many others. We also offer interactive fun through the use of games and demonstrations.

Our Vision
The Northern Horde, through the collective resources, skills, talents and trades of its membership, seeks to become a leader in the Renaissance Living History industry. The Northern Horde intends to accomplish this goal through the cultivation and nurturing of business contacts and sponsors, cooperative efforts with other related entertainment groups, and positive promotion of both The Northern Horde and the Renaissance industry. The overall purpose of these efforts is to raise The Northern Horde from a volunteer grassroots organization to a financially self-sustaining entity that will positively drive and shape the Renaissance Living History industry for the benefit of all.
